Who should attend?

All researchers and key Professional Services are welcome to attend this event.

Workshop aims:

  • An introduction to , a newly formed Community Interest Company seeking to address the current and futures problems faced by cities and ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ in particular.
  • An opportunity to establish links between ECF and key academics / departments at the University.
  • Identify potential collaborations (sharing of knowledge, resources, and data).
  • Find out about the potential to partner on funding applications and the application of research project outcomes.

Additional information

·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ City Futures (ECF) is a joint endeavour between ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ City Council, ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ-based venture capital fund Oxygen House, and a growing list of business and public sector stakeholders.  The programme aims to develop cutting-edge approaches to city improvement through the use of technology and analytics, with the goal of delivering zero congestion and energy independence for ·¬ÇÑÊÓƵ in 10 years.

The event will be chaired by Zoran Kapelan, Professor of Water Systems Engineering and Academic Lead for the Water and Environment Group.
