SCI Visiting Researcher: Professor Nivedita Menon
As part of our Visiting Researcher scheme, we are excited to announce that we are collaborating with ·¬ÇÑÊÓÆµ’s South Asia Centre to host Professor Nivedita Menon (Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi) at the University of ·¬ÇÑÊÓÆµ from 25 - 28 February.
As part of her visit to ·¬ÇÑÊÓÆµ, she will deliver two keynote lectures that draw on her recent book Secularism as Misdirection: Critical Thought from the Global South (2024). Her other books include the acclaimed Seeing Like a Feminist (2012) and Recovering Subversion: Feminist Politics Beyond the Law (2004). Prof Menon’s interdisciplinary, multi-lingual, critical research and public interventions have significantly enriched intersectional feminist scholarship and activism.
Professor Menon will also be leading two PGR events:
